Who says I'm scary?

This is me and my lovely friend Tashi about to go to a Halloween party as a pair of very bad fairies.
Said party was on a boat on the Thames and contained some very questionable guests. Still, we were the belles of the ball and the dirty fried chicken we ate at 3am made the evening all the sweeter. gx

How very dare you...

Princess Stephanie of Brixton had an elite dinner party on Wednesday to say farewell to her huge Victorian house with dining room before she moves.

As you can see, it was an evening of glamour and sophistication and Consequences.

We are the elite.

I did it! I ran 10k!

Would you believe it? Well I won't pretend it was easy, it was plummin hard work.

Especially all the training and not trinkin' (well). I also managed to get horrid blisters from my posh new trainers so couldn't run much in the fortnight before the race!

But the day dawned bright and fair (a bit sweaty betty!) and Ashtead Common was pretty and smelt nice. Everyone was a bit fast compared to the Race for Life and I was worried I'd be last...

But I chugged along, taking it steady as I'd never run for this long before and after I'd hit the half way mark I sped up a bit. I did it in just over 1hr 15 and Katy was there to cheer me in. This is me. You prob can't see but I am grinning 'like a psycho' as Katy kindly remarked.

Was relieved to get there as I'd been running at 'finishing line' pace for about the last 1.5k!! Phewf. Katy was super-fast at 46 mins and was 2nd lady!

We then went for shandy and pie and it all seemed worth it. Hurrah!

Iwentonholidayand...

I went on holiday in august. It was nice. I haven't blogged it because I'VE GOT NO BROADBAND AT HOME. STILL. Which means I can't upload me photies. So that's that.

Mats & Rice

The only thing I have to report from this week is that we have mice/rats. Mats. Rice. Whatever.

They are horrid and one ran over me as I slept. Shhhuddder.

I did have post-traumatic shock syndrome - it is now passing but feel free to send me presents/sympathy/your cat if you have one!

Lambeth council coming to fixit. Sorry mice.

Well, I finally did it after years of thinking it wasn't for me, I wasn't ready, it wasn't natural, etc. ... I RAN.

Having taken the rash (and possibly drunken) decision to run next year's London Marathon having never run before, I thought I'd better start somewhere and trained all by my shelf for the 5k Race For Life.

I was totally astounded by the fact that I enjoy running! It definitely shrinks your bum somewhat as well. However, tip from the top - don't look at your reflection on cars as you're running - horrible distortions occur.

So on Sunday the Great Day dawned and I ran the 5k in 35 mins! Very pleased with myself and raised ?180 so thanks to all who helped - you're fabulous.

My site is www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/gemmawilkie and I'll put some little pics of me and my marvellous Ma who did it too!

Well, it's all gone crazy now. Today has been extremely quiet (and a bit boring) so I have turned my mind to blogging and... set up a myspace account!

Of all the!

It's a very bare at the moment but you can come and look at it if you Click ici!

I'm a bit blog-shy so I'm going to nose at other people's blogs and see what they've put then copy it.

Bye!
